We live in a troubled world and try as we might hard times will come to us and to those we love. In those times biblically based christian counseling can help.

Everybody at some point or another in their life goes through difficult times that can deeply effect us and those we love. No matter how strong our faith is, life can become unmanageable at times and too much to handle on our own and it is not God’s intent that we do so. The problems we face may be in our relationships with family and friends, our health, a loss of someone or something dear to us, habits and behaviors that are not in keeping with our Christian walk, financial issues, employment, and even the quality of our relationship with God and Jesus Christ. The type and size of the problem is not the deciding factor in our search for help. Rather, it is that by ourselves we are not able at times to clearly see and work within God’s guidance to a solution that is right for us.

At Alpha Counseling we can help you gain a perspective on your troubles through connecting with and understanding God’s guidance in your life. The counseling we provide has its foundations in faith in the word of God and the love of Jesus Christ as put forth in the Bible. Through our counseling we help individuals, marriages, premarital couples, and families overcome a vast spectrum of challenges. Alpha Counseling has been providing Kitsap Peninsula communities including Poulsbo, Silverdale, Kingston, Bemerton and Bainbridge Island with Christian faith based service since 1977. As a Christian home mission there is no fee for services but instead we are dependent on God through our prayers and donations to provide caring Biblical counsel. Alpha Counseling is solely dependent on God financially and we will never turn anyone away for lack of ability to make a donation.

There is no place in our Christian walk for feeling shame or hesitation in asking for help from God and in opening ourselves to the many ways God can work in and towards us to live the life He has always desired for us. As believers in Jesus Christ, we can trust our Savior and turn to him in hard times. God cares for us and he is sovereign. To enter into counseling is an act of great courage and faith. A decision to work with God to find solutions true to His Word for the troubles we can face this world. The decision to make use of Biblically based Christian Counseling as a step in the path of your Christian walk is the beginning of a journey in keeping with the will of God.

In choosing to take this step in your journey it can be helpful to remember the words from Philippians 1:6

 “because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus”.
